Seymour (Sunday long run) and cruised a 10k recovery run (Monday).  Tonight I was meeting Simon at Burnaby Lake for a 10k tempo.  I ran in the new Brooks Glycerin last night for the first time and loved them. I have a cooler full of ice water and a bowl full of warm water beside each other.  I put my foot in the warm water for 5 minutes and then the cold water for 1 minute.  I continue this, taking 1 type='text'>2:45am</title><summary type='text'>I don't like this habit I seem to be forming.  Throughout my life I have always had the ability to sleep.  If nothing else, I have been able to sleep through most things.  Hurricanes, car crashes, sirens, TV.  You name it, I could sleep through it.For my past couple of big races - Iceland and Boston to be specific - I have not slept well.  I don't type='text'>Summertime</title><summary type='text'>Terry at SFUTerry in Victoriaand the living is easy.  With the sun out and finally showing off its strength, I ran to Terry again.  This time, however, I left the road and followed the Trans-Canada Trail to the top of Burnaby Mountain.  It was a run which never felt good, but was neither slow nor bad.  I hit a rhythm pretty quickly and just type='text'>My New Career Aspiration</title><summary type='text'>Sonja and I went to Cirque du Soliel last night.  We were treated to a wonderful performance of their Corteo show.  It is a little more traditional circus (complete with little people and a giant) than other Cirque shows, but I enjoyed that aspect.  I was amazed at what could be put together underneath a tarp - the mechanics of the type='text'>Why do I do this to myself?</title><summary type='text'>Running makes sense.  Most of the time.  You move forward.  Quickly, some of the time.  Left, Right, Left.  Arms move opposite to your legs.  The faster you go, the harder it is.  But, for running, I would suggest that is about it as far as basic technique is concerned.Golf is a different story.  You do the same thing twice and
